If you have decided to learn online to play the guitar, it becomes very difficult to select the right course with the plethora of guitar courses available on the Internet. So, you could choose a course according to your requirement as most of the courses are based on the experience and teaching styles of the people behind them. While choosing a guitar course, consider the ideas presented as follows:
First of all, you should consider your own requirement very precisely. If you are a beginner you should choose a course that makes you familiar with things like how to use your fingers in right way, names of various guitar parts and basic guitar vocabulary etc. Your course should be able to address all these issues properly otherwise you cannot progress satisfactorily.
Aural training, also known as ear training, is the most basic skill which distinguishes between a good musician and a "mere" guitar player. Remember, you can’t just play guitar by your fingers but ears are also important in order to listen correctly. If the material is in the form of interesting backing tracks, games, quizzes etc then it can motivate the students to learn. Motivation is very important for a student to learn because if a student is not motivated to practice regularly, even the best course will not fetch you results.
A lot of high quality guitar courses use video lessons for effective illustrations and explain the details of guitar techniques by using camera angles and close-ups.
